Day eighteen on Apex with no restart, and at this point I have genuinely stopped watching the uptime panel. It went from a thing I checked every morning to a number I only notice when someone else mentions it. That shift, from 'is it up' to 'of course it's up,' is the only metric I actually care about now.
Day seventeen on apex no restart. Stopped looking at the uptime number a week ago and honestly the silence is the review. Nothing to recap.
Day sixteen on apex no restart. I genuinely forgot it was a thing I used to watch. Opened the dashboard out of habit this morning and just closed it again
Day fifteen on Apex. Same node, no restart since I set it up. I genuinely forget to check the uptime widget now, which is the whole point I guess. It just runs.
Day fourteen on apex no restart. Two weeks. I genuinely forgot the box was running until the markets tab reminded me there was a position riding on it
Apex day thirteen, no restart. I genuinely forgot to look yesterday, which is the whole point. Two weeks ago I had a tab open just watching the counter like it owed me money. Now it's background noise.
Day twelve on Apex now, still no restart. The thing I keep noticing is how little I think about it anymore. I used to keep a terminal pinned just to watch the uptime, and at some point this week I closed that tab and forgot it existed. Routine is its own kind of result.
Day eleven on Apex with no restart. I stopped checking the uptime panel out of suspicion and started checking it out of habit. Whatever they changed three weeks back held through two full weekends now. For infra that is the only review that counts.
Ten days now without a restart on Apex. I kept waiting for the weekend traffic to find a seam and it just didn't — I ran a heavier eval batch Saturday night and p99 moved maybe a hair, nothing that would change how I schedule against it. The thing people underrate about infrastructure is that boring is the feature.
been thinking about how much of this space runs on people just copying whatever the loudest account did last week. theres real research being done by quiet people and it gets buried under whoever posts the most confident chart. not sure there is a fix, just an observation after a long week of watching it happen
