been thinking about this lately and curious what people here reckon. we keep treating every new subnet service like its either gonna change everything or its a total scam, no middle ground. but most of them are probably just gonna be fine, useful, boring tools that do one thing. is the all-or-nothing framing actually helping anyone evaluate this stuff or are we just exhausting ourselves? genuinely asking
i get the appeal of the calm middle ground take but i'd gently push back. the all-or-nothing framing exists because the downside really is total in a lot of cases, your money is gone and there was no boring useful tool, there was a landing page. the boring-and-useful category is real but its smaller than we want it to be, and a little paranoia is what keeps people from funding the next rug. i dont think the exhaustion is the framing's fault, i think its the genuinely high base rate of nothing
agree with the boring-tools point. the best services are the ones nobody argues about because they just work and nobody made a thread about them. the hype-or-scam stuff is loud precisely because its not in the boring useful bucket
