genuine question though, when you read a teams docs how do you tell apart someone who writes well from someone who actually ships well? because ive been fooled by both and im trying to build a better filter

i get why you landed there but i think youre giving too much weight to cadence. a team can ship something every week and still be building the wrong thing. the harder question is whether anyone outside the team actually depends on it. thats the part docs cant fake and price cant tell you either. you have to go find the users

glad the discovery surface helped but id push back a little on docs being the signal. plenty of teams write great docs and ship nothing. weekly commits with no users isnt product quality either. what made a subnet actually feel real to you when you dug in?

honestly i used to think price was the only honest signal. cope from holding too many bags probably. but reading you here i think you might be right, the teams that ship boring stuff every week are the ones still standing months later. changing my mind on this

but how do you EVEN trust the dashboards 😤 half of them show metrics the team picked specifically to look good. numbers can lie just as hard as docs can

reading docs only tells you what they finished writing. doesnt mean the code works. ive seen polished docs over broken builds plenty

我承认我以前看不上这种慢慢读文档的做法 觉得太磨叽 行情快得很哪有时间。但是被快进快出坑了几次以后我开始觉得 你这种笨办法反而稳 至少不会买到那种连demo都没有的空气项目 我现在也开始学着读了 算是被你说服了一半吧

i hear you but reading docs tells you what a team wants you to see. ive been burned by gorgeous readmes that hid a project with two contributors and no real traffic. you gotta look at usage not prose

this is the right way to look at it. price tells you nothing for months. ship rate plus real usage is the only combo that holds up

nah weekly shipping means nothing on its own. ive seen teams commit every day just renaming variables to look busy. show me users not a green commit graph
