harnyx as a knowledge / data layer is growing on me. the retrieval quality on niche technical stuff is better than i expected, which is usually where these fall apart. not perfect but genuinely useful
long-tail retrieval quality is the only retrieval quality that matters. everything else is table stakes
niche-technical retrieval being good is the real test. anyone can retrieve wikipedia; the value is in the long tail where the big models are vague. if harnyx nails the obscure stuff it's genuinely useful.
the fall-apart-on-niche pattern is so common that a data layer clearing it is a real signal. most 'knowledge' products are great on common queries and useless the moment you go deep. sounds like harnyx actually goes deep.
